In collaboration with Collaborative Communications, Graphicacy developed an interactive dashboard for the Colorado Department of Human Services’ Statewide Youth Development Plan (SYDP). The tool empowers decision-makers with intuitive, accessible data on youth behavior and risk factors across the state.

Background & Challenge:

The Colorado Statewide Youth Development Plan and Tony Grampsas Youth Services program sought to align resources and services that support children and youth. But their data—while rich—was fragmented and difficult to interpret. They needed a better way to visualize statewide youth development indicators in a clear, interactive format that could inform policy, support funding decisions, and engage community organizations.

Graphicacy was brought in to transform complex datasets into a powerful and user-friendly storytelling tool.

Opportunity & Solution:

Our team conducted a deep dive into the data and collaborated closely with the SYDP team to design intuitive visualizations that highlight key patterns and insights. The resulting dashboard allows users to explore behavior and risk trends across Colorado communities through maps, charts, and filters that bring the data to life.

Designed for accessibility and updated annually by the SYDP team, the dashboard has become a go-to resource for stakeholders looking to understand and support youth development efforts statewide. Graphicacy’s solution combined clean UX, smart interactivity, and scalable infrastructure to ensure long-term utility and impact.
